악곡 해설

이 곡은 플라시드 까뽀(Placide Cappeau, 프랑스의 시인, 1808~1877)의 시에 아당이 1947년에 작곡하였다. 원래는 크리스마스의 노래(Cantique de Noël)라는 곡명이었으나, 후에 영어로 번역되어 ‘O Holy Night’의 곡명으로 온 세계 사람들에게 애창되었다. 프랑스의 크리스마스 노래(노엘)로서 알려져 있다.
